Life Membership Award
2018/12/12

A Life Membership Award was handed to Quinton Damstra (L) by Niel Lombard, out-going President of SAID, for his dedication and service to the Institute and its members.

 Quinton’s passion for the draughting / design profession has been noticeable throughout his career and has been evident on the many occasions when he has spoken out on behalf of the draughtspersons.

 His creative talent in many fields is exceptional  -  drawing, writing, furniture design, to mention but a few. In addition, he is an accomplished lecturer and is in a position where he can share his  passion for architecture in the lecture room.

 Quinton registered as a Full Member of the SA Institute of Draughting on 30 April 2002. He served on the Executive Committee from 2003 until 2016.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the SA Institute of Draughting was held on 11 December 2018.

The newly elected Executive Committee Members are: Mohammed Mohidien (President) ; Megum Reyneke (Vice President) ; Maureen Gerrans (Executive Officer) ; Niel Lombard (Outgoing President, remaining as Committee Member) ; Carol  De Beer ; Evona Mapanga 

Carol De Beer will take over the role of Executive Officer from Maureen Gerrans in April 2019.
